Mental health care is dependent on educators to provide individual support, but also to recognize patterns to inform the correct response. Pattern recognition is a key aspect of education and mental health, so as educators, we need to be informed on how to support our students. Another key aspect of the mental health issue in schools is the impact of the digital age. This brings to the surface the issues of online safety, teaching proper digital skills, and providing context to understand the digital world. This blog addresses the questions educators have about improving professional development and becoming more effective educators by incorporating mental health education and digital skill building.
